Archdale Debating Competition
The Association of Heads of Independent Girls' Schools NSW (AHIGS) administers and convenes inter - school activities such as Archdale Debating in which many students, parents, teachers, volunteers, adjudicators, officials and spectators participate.
While AHIGS and its member schools take measures to make Archdale as safe as possible for participants, there is a risk that those involved can be injured and suffer loss (including financial loss) and damage as a result of their participation, whether at practice or in actual debates.
Injury can occur while the participant is engaging in, supervising, watching, adjudicating or volunteering at a debate, or travelling to and from the event. The injury may result from the participant's actions, the actions of others or equipment failure.
In very rare cases the injury can be life threatening or result in permanent disability.
Participants could also suffer loss as
a result of their personal property being lost, stolen, damaged
or destroyed.
